[God put on his usual body for what he intended to be his last encounter with Mello, but he knows Matt's wandering around as a girl, so he changes back to a female form too, this time in a simple white chiton with a rainbow clasp at the shoulder. She's in her room, floating slightly off the ground beside the towered city with her skirts tucked about her knees, watching the duplicates of the mansion's inhabitants wandering about. Some of them seem troubled, but God can't tell why. She pats the small replica of [livejournal.com profile] gamerspy, hoping he feels better, and, as if her hand just happens to drift that way, brushes her fingers over her world's Mello's black wings, wishing there were more she could do for him. But she's resigned to the fact that there isn't, for now, so she resolves to stop worrying about it. Besides, she expects Matt to return any moment with stories of her adventures as a girl.]

[God is seriously thinking about going home. Mello won't forgive him, and he's catching waves of something wrong with Matt. He's curled up on one of the white beanbags in his room, toying with his hair and listening to the faint sounds of figures moving about in his toy city. None of his usual distractions are helping. He almost wishes he were like Mello, and could destroy something, or set someone on fire: anything to push these feelings out and stop having to feel them. He's sure everything that's gone wrong is his fault.]

[After talking things over with Red-Near, God is determined to find out exactly what his Mello is angry about, and whether anything can be done about it. The Truth Room seemed like a good idea, though this might have partly been an effect of two strong drinks on God's mostly-human system. Still, he's going to go through with it if possible. He walks through the hallways looking for Mello. He's sober again, but his cold feet only add to his resolve.]

[It is not good to be God. Being partly human was going so well, and then... it all fell apart. Matt is sad, Mello's reverting to his demonic state, and Near is at a total loss. He's sure it's all his fault, but he can't seem to figure out how to fix it, and it's getting harder and harder, lately, to keep his feet off the ground. He needs a friend who won't hesitate to tell him difficult truths, so he goes looking for red-haired Near, hoping he hasn't yet left the mansion behind entirely.]

God didn't need a room before he was human, but he finds he likes the idea, and he's glad he kept it. Once he had his powers back, he made it huge and all white, of course, with windows that look out over clouds, beanbag chairs, and his toy city and figurines in the middle of the floor.

When he poofs himself and Matt in from the kitchen, he also creates a table and chairs like one would find in a breakfast nook, with waffles ready on the table, but he doesn't let go of Matt just yet.
